Kelly Porter, Director

Since graduating from Pepperdine University with a degree in English and an emphasis in education, Kelly has worked eleven years in education in both the private and public sectors, including Northland Christian School, Kaplan Test Prep, and Cy-Fair High School. She served as the Associate Director of Grace Crossing Academy during the 2008-2009 school year and is the current director.

Kelly met her husband Ben at Pepperdine, and they will celebrate their tenth anniversary this year. They have three daughters who attend GCA: Rylie, Evan and Peyton. Ben and Kelly have been members of Grace Crossing for more than seven years, and both serve on the Praise Team.

Kelly believes God has used each experience, both professional and personal, to prepare her for her role here at Grace Crossing Academy. God has made it abundantly clear to her that His plan for her life is infinitely better than any plans she has made for herself. She is grateful for the opportunity to serve the families of GCA and is committed to ensuring each child receives a solid foundation for his/her future education.

Tanna English, Associate Director

Tanna is the wife of Kirk and a mother of four: Austin, Alix, Aubrey, and Alan. She began working for Spring Woodlands Christian School ten years ago to be close to her children when they were young. Since then, she has worked with a variety of age groups over the years and feels that God has given her a gift to work with small children. Last year, she supervised our nursery and will continue to do so part time in addition to her duties as Associate Director.
